Ok so I definitely fell off the blogging band-wagon…and honestly I keep thinking, “I should go blog!” and then…I just don’t feel like it! I will say part of that is because since school let out in May we have had stuff going on non-stop(all super fun things!) but even though it was all good and fun things I am happy to say that we don’t have anything coming up and since Libby is deciding to take an extra long nap today (thank you Jesus!) I will do a quick catch up post. I mean…blogging is way more important than actually getting ALL the laundry and cleaning done, right???
SO the last post was Fathers day…wow. Since then we missed posts on Libby’s 11 month pictures, July 4th, our vacation and her birthday! Ahhhhhh. I will do my best not to bore you with pictures but part of the reason I blog is so that I won’t forget things!
At 11 months Libby did not want anything to do with taking a picture for me…she was mostly just rebelling (ok she is a curious 11 month old) again wearing the sticker…so it went to her back after she had crinkled it all up. Good thing she’s cute!
The major events that happened during this month were…..
*Gaining FOUR new teeth on the top
*Discovering she could climb right on out of the crib on her own. Oh yes she did…and I had a heart attack.
*Took her first cute wobbly steps
*went to all solids-no more puree foods for this girl!
Next up was actually my birthday…and sadly I don’t have any pictures from this but that’s ok. It was a super fun weekend filled with lots of family time since my parents came down for it 🙂 🙂 🙂 Love it when they are here!
After that was July 4th! We went to stay with Justin’s parents the night before and spent all July 4th hanging out with them. We had a great time chatting, eating and swimming. That night some more family and friends came over for my birthday celebration/celebration of freedom. Super fun!
That night our cul-de-sac was having a July 4th get together and it was AWESOME! The boys all acted like little kids with fireworks and put on a great show for us. Libby-who I thought would freak out at the fireworks-actually LOVED them.
Walking home to go to bed….I don’t know how she slept through the rest of the fireworks but she did! Hard little sleeper.
After July 4th our little family of 3 took a road trip to my families cabin in Cuchara, Colorado. (don’t worry we broke it up in 2 days!) Because this is already a VERY long post I won’t go into a lot of detail so here is a quick recap…
We finally arrive (big accomplishment with an 11 month old)-yay us! We hiked. Justin golfed. We hiked some more. Saw Gods amazing creation. Went to the Zoo. Saw a bear. Drove…a lot. Worth it? YES!
That’s all for today! Hopefully sooner rather than later I will get Libby’s birthday post up. I still can’t believe she is one!!! If you made it to the end of this without falling asleep I applaud you 🙂
I made it to the end and I loved every bit of it!
You guys are so cute! I love seeing all the pics Of your adorable family!!
Y’all are the cutest lil family! What fun adventures!
